THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
Hello, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, we the United Methodist women of Scott thought you would like to know more about us.
We are a creative, supportive Fellowship. We participate in local, national and global ministries of the United Methodist Church. We ministered to women, youth and children. But foremost, we depend on the word of God to guide us in our purpose.
Officers are Barbara Walker, Melvina Rapier, Jimmie Jones, Ruby Anderson and our president, Norma Hood. Our organization is divided into subgroups. These are the leaders of the subgroups, Pam Covington, Rosalyn Flucker, Harriet Frye, Zelnola Green, Claudette McMillan and Ruby Washington.
We want and need friends, relatives and church members to join us, one does not have to be a member of our church to belong.
We have a unit meeting every month in which all members are asked to attend. Here we share pertinent information and have a program designed to helpusknow more about our mission work all over the world. During these meetings, we never forget to give honor to God and Christ. Our primary source for obedience and inspiration. Our Theme in 2011 Is “Finding Peace”
May 7, we will be having our 34th prayer breakfast. Cheryl Alston will be our speaker are theme is, Finding Peace through Missions And Action. Please join us for our prayer breakfast for warm fellowship on May 7th.
